Our intranet option allow you to specify Subject Alternative Names (SAN) within the certificate. Browsers recognize that the certificate can be used on both a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) such as www.domain.com and SANs such as "localhost" or "exchange5542". This ensures that SSL can be used successfully across your entire internal network / intranet.
For this time our intranet SANs option supports local / internal hostnames only and will not support the inclusion of fully qualified domain names (FQDNS). But if your organization require the use of SANS please contact our sales department for more information on our upcoming availability of this feature.
Our special wildcard SSL option allows to have single SSL certificate to secure multiple websites. Now you can secure all of your sub-domains just with one single SSL certificate which will be issed to *.domain.com and will work on all subdomains that you will create with your domain.com
Our Public IP SSL certificates are only available with organizational SSL.
Mostly a SSL certificate is issued to a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) like www.domain.com. However some organizations need a SSL certificate issued to their IP address depending upon their infrastructure and business model. Our this special option will allow you to specify an IP address as the common name in your certificate signing request. Our Public IP based issued certificate can then be used to secure connections directly with the IP address, for example https://123.535.43.78.
Please also note that only Public IP addresses may be used and you must be the owner of the IP address as per records held at RIPE. Also make sure to create a CSR with a common name of your IP address, e.g 123.535.43.78 or contact our support department if you have any further inquries or need help. |
